Urbana, Ohio - The University of Charleston Men's Basketball team was back in Mountain East Conference play taking on the Urbana Blue Knights in the Grimes Center. Charleston which trailed by as many as 18 points in the second half used a balanced attack with four players in double figures in the 91-89 come from behind victory.Â
Aleksander Kesic led UC with 20 points and eight rebounds. Kesic was 8-of-11 from the field including 1-of-3 from behind the arc.
Tino DiTrapano added 17 points going 5-of-7 from the field and was 6-of-7 from the charity stripe.
Jevonte Hughes made good use of his minutes scoring 16 points in just 14 minutes on the court.
Travon Williams rounded off the double-digit performers adding 11 points.
Points in the paint proved to be the difference and an equalizer for Urbana's 14 made three pointers in which they shot 52-percent from behind the arc. But, the Golden Eagles had answer having a 24 point advantage in the paint.
Urbana was led by a game high performance from Carlas Jackson with 29 points including five three-pointers. Jahmere Howze added 17 points and seven rebounds for the Blue Knights.
UC is back in action on Saturday in South Euclid, Ohio as they take on the Notre Dame Falcons.Â
