CHARLESTON, W.Va. - University of Charleston freshman pitcher
Kaleb Kinder threw nine inning of scoreless baseball as the Golden Eagles pummeled Bluefield State College  by a score of 19-0 Tuesday afternoon at Appalachian Power Park.
Kinder earned his second win of the season over the Blues in the complete game shutout only scattering eight hits over the nine innings, striking out four and allowing just one base on balls.
The Golden Eagles pounded out 15 hits on the afternoon led by
Anthony Brunetti's 2-for-4 day at the plate that  included two triples and five runs batted in. Leadoff hitter
Mike Hoeft followed closely behind going 2-for-3 with four RBI's and two walks. Â Charleston centerfielder
Robert Collin went 3-for-5 for the Golden Eagles and also drove in two runs. Â The top three batters in the Charleston lineup combined to go 7-for-12 and drove in 11 runs in cruising to the 19-0 win, UC's 13th on the season.
The Golden Ealges (13-28, 9-27 MEC) play their season finale this weekend as they host West Virginia State University in a four-game series set to begin Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
