Vienna, W. Va. -Â The University of Charleston's Women's Volleyball team took on Ohio Valley University's volleyball team Tuesday evening at the Snyder Activity Center. The Golden Eagles were victorious in a four-set match.The first set was a decisive win for UC, finishing 25-13. The second set was also a strong set for the Golden Eagles, winning 25-14. Ohio Valley came back in the third, with electric energy from the crowd, won 25-23. UC came back and answered in the fourth set 25-23.
UC was led by freshman hitter Mia Herrod, earning 25 kills throughout the match. Shiann White made her mark with 9 kills and 13 digs. Freshman Carly Granger also earned 9 kills and 13 digs.
The Golden Eagles will be taking on Cedarville University at Cedarville on Friday September 18.
