CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles kept a clean sheet in Sunday's 4-0 shutout of Concord University as UC got a much needed conference victory after going winless in their previous two MEC matches.

Charleston scored three goals in a span of 15 minutes in the first half started by
Patrick Guier's fifth goal of the season in the 15
th minute that put the Golden Eagles ahead 1-0. Guier was involved in Charleston's second goal just minutes later assisting on
Felipe Antonio's fifth goal of 2016. UC continued their first half scoring with their third tally of the half in the 29
th minute when Guier connected with UC's leading scorer,
Will Roberts, to give Charleston a 3-0 lead going into the half.

Guier was back at it again in the lone goal of the second half, finding an unmarked
Jake Young on the back post that Young easily finished for his first goal of the season. Guier's statline for the afternoon included a goal and three assists as the Golden Eagles cruised to the 4-0 win over the Mountain Lions.Â
Paulo Pita claimed his second clean sheet of the season, turning away the only shot Concord put on UC's frame.
