WHEELING, W.Va. – Charleston men's soccer claimed its third consecutive Mountain East Conference regular season championship Saturday afternoon after defeating Wheeling Jesuit 2-0 in the regular season finale.
 
The win gave the Golden Eagles the No. 1 seed in the tournament and will play host to West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Schoenbaum Stadium.  UC got first half goals from Bruno Oliveira and Felipe Antonio in route to Charleston's 14^th win of the season.  Golden Eagle keeper Paulo Pita made five saves that included turning away a second half penalty kick, earning his third consecutive clean sheet.
 
Urbana has one regular season game remaining but has clinched the second seed and a home game. The Blue Knights will kickoff on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
 
The winners in the semifinals will play for the championship on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the home of the highest remaining seeded team.
