Charleston, W.Va. - The Golden Eagles cruised past the visiting Fighting Falcons of Fairmont University at Trace Fork 5-0. The Golden Eagles did not take long to find the back of the net. In the 4

Ida Garberg (Gjoevik, Norway) recovered a loose ball inside the 18 and finished top shelf as the Golden Eagles took a 2-0 lead into halftime.

In the second half, the Golden Eagles got off to another quick start scoring at the 47:29 and 48:13 marks. Freshman
Cassandra Forster (Vaxholm, Sweden) slipped a ball in behind the Falcon defense and Garberg finished her second goal of the match. Fellow freshman
Rachel Neff (Commercial Point, OH) converted the fourth goal as Forster's shot deflected off of the Falcon keeper. The game's final goal came as sophomore
Fern Peters (Columbia, MD) served a corner to UC's junior captain
Dominique Dosky (Westerville, OH), who buried a header.

UC outshot Fairmont 30/1 on the day an collected their fifth consecutive shutout and junior
Zoe Zyta (Listowel, Ontario) seventh shutout of the season. Zyta registered one save on the day and Fairmont's keeper, Shawna Graham, picked up 12 saves. UC returns to action when they travel to W.Va. Wesleyan on Sunday for a 1pm kickoff.
