WHEELING, W.Va. -- The season for Charleston's Women's Volleyball team has come to an end after UC fell to Fairmont State in 3 sets (13-25, 20-25, 22-25) on Friday night in the MEC Semifinals.
On offense, UC was led by Shiann White, who had 9 kills. Carly Granger also added 6 kills in the loss. Claire Lambert and Chloe Massaro put up 10 and 8 set assists, respectively. On defense, Kelsey Matusic led the Lady Golden Eagles in digs with 13, while Shiann White added 12.
The Lady Golden Eagles finished their season with a 25-13 record, with a record of 12-4 in MEC Conference play. The 25 wins this season was the most by a UC volleyball team since the 2007 season. Charleston will look forward to a spring season in a new facility, The Russell & Martha Wehrle Innovation Center, set to open on December 3rd.
