CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston ended a three-game skid Saturday afternoon defeating Urbana University 88-73 at the Charleston Civic Center.

The win improves UC's record to 12-10 overall and 9-7 in Mountain East Conference play. Charleston currently sits in sixth place overall in the 12-team conference with six game left on the regular season schedule.

Jevonte Hughes' career-high 25 points led the charge for the Golden Eagles in the 15-point win. Hughes added 10 rebounds to complete a double-double. Tino diTrapano stuffed the stat sheet scoring 13 points, pulling down nine boards, dishing out eight assists, just missing the triple-double. Justin Coleman picked up his seventh double-double of the season and second straight tallying 12 points and 12 rebounds.

The 1-20 Blue Knights hung around for the first 20 minutes to trail the Golden Eagles by just six, 32-38, heading into halftime before Charleston used a 10-0 run early in the second half to build a 57-38 lead with 12:40 left on the game clock. UC would lead by as many as 22 in the game before cruising to the win.

Charleston looks to make it back-to-back wins Thursday evening at the Charleston Catholic Athletic Complex as they welcome West Virginia Wesleyan to town. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. following the UC women who tip at 5:30 p.m.
