BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Charleston's Laura Ashlock is the Mountain East Conference Softball Player of the Week, while Wheeling Jesuit's Mallory Chapman is the the league's Pitcher of the Week.

Ashlock, a junior from Kansas City, Mo., went 11-for-18 (.667) at the plate last week for the Golde Eagles. She smacked three home runs and slugged 1.222 while driving in 12 runs and scoring five times. She also earned seven walks in the six games and posted an on-base percentage of .720.

Chapman, a sophomore from New Martinsville, W.Va., went 3-0 with a 0.63 ERA and two shutouts last week. She opened the week with a four-hit shutout against Seton HILl, and then blanked Urbana 2-0 on a three-hitter. She finishe the week going all eight innings against Fairmont State allowing two earned runs on four hits and striking out nine.

Sissy Stubbs (FSU) hit .476 with three home runs, four doubles, 13 RBI and nine runs scored in a 4-2 week ... 
Brooklyn Waddell (WVWC) hit .450 (9-for-20) with eight RBI and eight runs scored while helping the 12th-ranked Bobcats to a 6-0 week ... Mackenzie Smith (GSC) went 12-for-19 at the plate (.632) with six RBI in a 3-3 week for the Pioneers ... Molly Welsh (WJU) was 7-for-15 (.467) with six runs scored and four RBI in six games ... Kylie Kent (CU) had key hits in wins vs. West Virginia State ... Kaitlin Munda (SU) went 4-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep last week ... Mackenzie Wallace (NDC) hit .361 and hit safely in NDC's last six games ... Learic Kisner (UU) had five multi-hit games in six outings last week and finished going 11-for-22 (.500) at the plate.

Taylor Brandts (UVa-Wise) went 2-1 with two complete game victories ... Sayaka Foley (WVWC) went 3-0 with a pair of shutouts on the week ... Addy Beatty (CU) was 2-0 in the circle with a complete game shutout against West Virginia State ... Tara Hanson (SU) struck out eight in a 3-1 win over West Liberty ... Mackenzie Wallace (NDC) had her second victory and her second complete game of the season last week.
