CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The visiting Bobcats completed the series sweep by defeating the Golden Eagles 10-5 in game 1 and 7-2 in game 2.
GAME 1- WVWC 10-UC 5
The Bobcats scored in every inning but the 5th to take a convincing 10-5 victory. Senior Anthony Brunetti was tagged with the loss (5 1/3, 13 H, 1K) while Senior David Webb finished the game in relief (1 2/3, 3 H, 1K).
Anthony Brunetti collected 2 hits and scored 2 runs, while Brice Arrington and Will Lucas each collected a hit.
GAME 2- WVWC 7- UC 2
The Bobcats jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first and didn't look back as they held on for a 7-2 victory.
Junior Andy Hoyer was tagged with the loss after 1 2/3 innings. Freshmen Will Bohlman (4 1/3, 1R, 3H, 3K) and Harrison Bell (3 IP, 0R, 1K) combined to finish the 9 inning contest.
Brice Arrington, Jeff Somuk, Zach Gunter, and Steven Davis each collected 2 hits in the loss.
