Wise, VA. –The University of Charleston Women's Lacrosse Team dropped their conference opener to UVA-Wise with a 21-7 decision. The Cavaliers' conference play experience helped them to secure the victory. The Golden Eagles, now 1-6-0, travelled to Wise, VA April 1
st for a 6pm start time.
The Golden Eagles looked for their first road win against Wise, which would have also served as the first conference win in program history. However, the Cavaliers were not letting the Golden Eagles have any easy looks. Cavaliers' goalie Melanie Reilly would end the competition with 7 stellar saves. 9 Cavaliers would score more than one goal in their victory.

Peyton Harris (Lockport, NY) led the team with 2 goals. Jr. Captain
Nicole Purcell (Cortland, NY), as well as
Amelia Ramos (Cleveland Heights, OH),
Aryanna Jones (Shaker Heights, OH),
Gabrielle Messina (Port Republic, MD) and
Esther Yi (Suwanee, GA) all added a goal apiece.
