GLENVILLE, W.Va. – Charleston men's basketball struggles continue as they fall on the road to Glenville State College Monday evening at the Waco Center, 77-83, losing their sixth consecutive contest.
Â
The Golden Eagles made a late rally against the Pioneers, cutting a 17-point deficit to just three points with a little under two minutes remaining after a pair of Elliott Cole free throws. It was just a little too late for UC as Glenville scored their next nine points from the stripe and the Golden Eagles weren't able to convert their shots on the other end.
Â
The Glenville State bench proved to be the difference in game, outscoring UC's bench 34-15, led Jalon Plummer's 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor while hitting on four three pointers. Elliott Cole followed up his 39-point effort from two days ago with 24 points for the Golden Eagles in the loss. Justin Coleman added 12 point and eight rebounds.
