CHARLESTON, W.Va. –  The University of Charleston women's soccer team (4-6-4, 3-5-4 MEC) defeated the Cardinals of Wheeling Jesuit (4-10, 3-9 MEC) 2-0 in Sunday MEC action.

How it Happened
-The Golden Eagles outshot the Cardinals 4-2 in the first half, but could not find the net. The two teams went into the break tied 0-0.
-The score remained tied until the 25^th minute when Marlee Coleman fed the ball to Alanda Mikulis who placed the ball past the Wheeling Jesuit keeper to give UC the 1-0 lead.
-With 11:13 to go in regulation Brook Garey met the ball from Mikulis and beat the keeper one-on-one to give Charleston the 2-0 lead.
-The Golden Eagles would go on to win 2-0.
