CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston women's soccer team (4-6-4, 3-5-4 MEC) defeated the Cardinals of Wheeling Jesuit (4-10, 3-9 MEC) 2-0 in Sunday MEC action.

How it Happened
-The Golden Eagles outshot the Cardinals 4-2 in the first half, but could not find the net. The two teams went into the break tied 0-0.
-The score remained tied until the 25
th minute when Marlee Coleman fed the ball to Alanda Mikulis who placed the ball past the Wheeling Jesuit keeper to give UC the 1-0 lead.
-With 11:13 to go in regulation Brook Garey met the ball from Mikulis and beat the keeper one-on-one to give Charleston the 2-0 lead.
-The Golden Eagles would go on to win 2-0.

-Charleston will travel to Urbana, Ohio on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff against the Blue Knights of Urbana.
