CHARLESTON, WV – The Golden Eagles (2-4, 2-4 MEC) celebrated homecoming with a 15-7 victory over the West Virginia Wesleyan Bobcats (2-4, 2-3 MEC) Saturday afternoon at University of Charleston Stadium.

-Mason Olszewski went 16-19 for 123 yards with one touchdown for the Golden Eagles in the air, while also netting 94 yards rushing and one touchdown on the ground.

-Khazin Daniels led the Golden Eagles with nine tackles, two tackles-for-loss, and one sack. Daniels set a new career sack record for the Golden Eagles with his 21st in the victory. The junior defensive end is also credited with the safety that gave the Golden Eagles the 8-7 lead.

-Luke Kasey went 15-38, for 147 yards, and one touchdown in the loss.

-Chad Pinson led the Bobcats with 14 tackles, while Brandon Grayson tallied 10 in the loss.
How it Happened
-With 9:47 to go in the second quarter, the Bobcats found the endzone when Luke Casey connected with Dante Satcher on a four yard pass to give the Bobcats the 7-0 lead.
-In the final minute of the second half
Mason Olszewski found
Tyreik McAllister on a 25 yard pass to cut the WVWC lead to just one point.
-Coming out of the break trailing 7-6,
Kahzin Daniels forced a safety to give Charleston an 8-7 lead. With 14:24 to go in regulation, Olszewski kept the ball on a one yard run for Charleston's second touchdown of the game.
-Charleston held on for the 15-7 victory.
