URBANA, Ohio – The Golden Eagles suffered a setback on Halloween night, falling in straight sets to Urbana University in Mountain East Conference women's volleyball action.

How it Happened
The match began with a dramatic, back-and-forth first set as each team was looking to capture the opening game and set the tone for the rest of the match.  Charleston, trailing 20-17 late in the set, rattled off four straight points aided by consecutive blocks by Jour'Ney Powell to claim a 21-20 lead in the opener.  The teams exchanged points leading to a tie at 25-25 before a pair of kills by Urbana's Courtney Niesen closed out the set for the Blue Knights to take a 1-0 match advantage.
 
With all of the wind out of UC's sails and momentum built for Urbana, the Blue Knights cruised to the next two sets by taking each by a score line of 25-17 over Charleston.  Urbana hit at an unbelievable rate of .615 in the second set with 17 kills on 26 attempts, while committing just one error.
 
The loss takes UC to 7-4 in Mountain East play and 11-13 overall on the season.
