CHARLESTON, WV -- The University of Charleston Men's Basketball Team (14-10, 8-10 MEC) drops home competition to Glenville State College (10-12, 7-11 MEC) Saturday afternoon. 
THE BASICS

A TALE OF FOUR QUARTERS
-Charleston started the first half with an 8-0 run that included back-to-back threes by LeJavius Johnson and junior guard, Shaq Speights.  The golden eagles led by as much as 9 after a Keir Anderso to Jordan Smith alley-oop at the 14:38 minute mark. Glenville took their first lead of the game after a three ball by Jalon Plummer. A dunk by Justin Coleman tied the game up at 17 with 9:33 to go in the first half. 
- Following the first media timeout of the half Jalon Plummer knocked down a pair of free throws to put the pioneers up 19-17, but the home team tied it up again at 19 with 7:42 to go. Charleston led for the next three minutes until Jalon Plummer hit another long ball to give the pioneers a 30-24 lead. Keir Anderson Answered with another one from deep to put Charleston back on top. Charleston would hang on to a 38-34 lead to close the first half. 
-Charleston led through the opening minutes of the second half, but a three by Terry Davis Junior cut the lead to three followed by another from Darhius Nunn that tied the game at 49-49. Charleston would trail by 2 before tying it up again with 12:22 remaining. Glenvilled went back on top with another three by Plummer and held the lead until the 9:00 mark whe Anderson dropped a three pointer to put UC up 62-61. 
-The game would mark its seventh tie at 8:07 with another three from Plummer. Charleston fought through two more ties in the final minutes of the second half, but Glenville outscored the golden eagles 10-1 in the final 2 minutes to win 87-78. 
CHARLESTON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS 
-Junior guard, Keir Anderson led the charge with 27 points and 8 rebounds.
-Justin Coleman notched another season double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
-Junior, Jordan Smith had 13 points in the loss. 
GLENVILLE STATE INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
-Brett Morris led the pioneers with 31 points and 8 rebounds, closely behind was guard, Jalson Plummer with 27 points and 8 rebounds. 
STAT CHECK
-Charleston shot 43.8 percent from the field, and 77.3 percent from the foul line. 
-Charleston outscored Glenville in the paint 36-60.
-Each team led by as many as 9 points during competition.
