CHARLESTON, WV -- The University of Charleston Women's Basketball Team (8-14, 7-9 MEC) fall to Notre Dame College (9-12, 8-8 MEC) 72-45 Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The falcons got the ball rolling after capitalizing on early turnovers by Charleston. They would lead the golden eagles by just 6 to end the first quarter
- Both teams picked up the scoring in the second quarter. The golden eagles shot 50 percent from the field, but Notre Dame College kept the 31-25 lead after the second. 
- Coming out of the break Charleston hit two early threes and a transition layup to cut the falcon lead to 35-32. To close the third quarter Notre Dame went on a 15-4 run to lead Charleston 52-  37. 
- The falcons started the fourth quarter with a quick three to extend their lead by 18. Charleston fought to climb back into the game, but the falcons rode a 77.8 shooting percentages through the fourth quarter to seal off the golden eagles 72-45
  
CHARLESTON INDIVIDUAL LEADERS 
-  Guard Jordyn Peck led the golden eagles shooting 50 percent from the field and tallying 17 points. 
- Sophomore guard Abby Watson was just behind her teammate with 9 points and 2 rebounds. 
- Madison Jones had 8 points and 2 rebounds while, forward Anna Hayton notched 5 points in the loss.
NOTRE DAME (OH) INDIVIDUAL LEADERS
- Forward Kelsey Miller lead Notre Dame College with 17 points. 
- Seina Adachi knocked down 14 from the field and 4 rebounds, and forward Kim Cook tallied 10.

- The University of Charleston will take on West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon West Virginia, Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.
