CHARLESTON, W.Va.—Charleston Women's Lacrosse team (3-6) in their second year as a program surpassed their season win record with their third win over Davis & Elkins (0-5) this afternoon at Schoenbaum Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Aryanna Jones got the ball rolling for the Golden Eagles scoring 3 minutes into the first half, but the Senators popped one in just a few possessions later. Charleston's Samantha Jones tabbed back-to-back goals bringing the score to 3-1 UC.
-Aryanna Jones notched her second goal of the game less than 9 minutes into play (4-1). Samantha Kleinfelter and Nicole Purcell contributed 2 goals before Samantha Jones scored 2 more of her own in less than a minute (8-1). With just over 12 minutes to play in the half Aryanna Jones scored her third goal of the game putting UC up by 8.
-Charleston's Gabrielle Messina scored her first goal of the game with 11:45 to go giving UC the 9-point lead.
-The Golden Eagles scored 3 more unanswered goals to head into the half up 13-1 on the Senators.
-Following the break Samantha Jones scored her fifth goal of the game at 26:44 to increase the Golden Eagle advantage by 13. After a UC goal by Megan Sheesley, Davis & Elkins answered with their second goal at 24:50 (15-2). UC put the ball away again at 17:01 followed by a D&E goal by Olivia Owens bringing the score to 18-3. The Senators scored again with just over 8 minutes to play (18-4).
-Five minutes later Samantha Jones scored her sixth goal of the day bringing the score to 19-4. Time expired with the Golden Eagles on top giving them their third win of the season.

-Samantha Jones led the Golden Eagles with 6 goals in the win. Aryanna Jones was just behind with 4.

-Gabby Fagan led the Senators scoring 2 of their 4 goals.
