AVON, Ohio – Charleston pitching shut down the Notre Dame Falcons Saturday afternoon en route to the Golden Eagle doubleheader road sweep to pick up their 15
th win on the season and improve their MEC record to 4-4.

Game 1
-UC's Nick Wilson got the Golden Eagles on the board first with an RBI single to right field that scored Gianfranco Morello after he had reached on an error earlier in the inning. Charleston led 1-0 after 1 complete inning.
-Notre Dame evened the game at 1-1 in the 4
th on a RBI single by Jacob Carpenter. That was all that UC starter Adam Jafine would allow in his 7-inning complete game win, surrendering just 4 hits on the day.
-Charleston took the lead for good in 6
th inning, plating a pair of runs on Falcon miscues in the field to take Game 1 of the doubleheader, 3-1.
Game 2
-Charleston's Colby Johnson provided the game's first runs, a 2-run double to left center that scored Jeff Somuk and Steven Davis to give UC a 2-0 in the 2
nd inning.
-Notre Dame cut the lead in half in the 3
rd on a Charleston error only to see the Golden Eagles score the game's next 5 runs to give UC a 7-1 lead in the 5
th inning.
-Golden Eagle freshman starter Austin Henrich picked up his 4
th win of the season, working 6 innings allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 7 hits. Brandon Harris picked up his 3
rd save of year, pitching 3 scoreless innings while recording 4 strikeouts.
