CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles (29-12, 17-5 MEC), split their double header with Urbana (OH) (15-17, 11-11 MEC) on Saturday afternoon.

THE BASICS

GAME 2 –Urbana 5; Charleston 4

GAME ONE
-With Haleigh Christopher and Monica Cater on base, Laura Ashlock hit a double to send the two runs home in the top of the first.
-In the top of the third Christopher hit a single to bring Natalie Beck home for the Golden Eagles to bring the score to 3-0. Margo Jackson hit a double to center field to send Courtney Kennedy home for the Blue Knights lone run of the game.
-In the top of the seventh Laura Ashlock hit a single up the middle to send Rachelle Toppings bringing the score to 4-1.
-Charleston took game one 4-1.

GAME TWO
-In the top of the first inning Haleigh Christopher hit a double down the left field line to send Monica Carter and Natalie Beck home to give the Golden Eagles to 2-0 lead. Shelby Ume stepped in and hit a single to send Christopher home (3-0). The Blue Knights got on the board when Caitlyn Stoner hit a double to right field to send Margo Jackson home (3-1).
-Christopher hit her 13^th homer of the season to give UC the 4-1 lead in the top of the third.
-In the bottom of the fourth Faulkner singled to centerfield to allow Stoner to score for the Blue Knights bringing the score to (4-2).
 -Urbana capitalized on a UC error to score their third run of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning (4-3).
-The next Blue Knight batter was walked allowing the tying run to come in (4-4). UC walked to next batter to send Stoner home for the lead. Urbana came away with a game two victory with a score of 5-4.

STAT CHECK
-Christopher hit her 13^th homerun of the season to tie UC single season record set by Laura Ashlock last season.
