CHARLESTON, W.Va. – University of Charleston Baseball split Sunday's doubleheader with Concord to take three of four games from the weekend series against the Mountain Lions.

Game 3
Charleston's offense exploded for 12 runs in their 12-3 win to start Sunday afternoon's doubleheader with Concord. The Golden Eagles held an 11-0 lead after four innings, giving UC starter Adam Jafine the run support he need to easily cruise to his sixth win on the season.
UC pounded out 13 hits off four Concord pitchers in the seven-inning game with four Golden Eagles plating at least two RBI's led by Lee Carneal's three RBI performance. Jafine went five innings in the win, allowing one run on four hits while striking out seven Mountain Lions.
Game 4
Charleston looked to be on their way to the 4-game sweep of Concord as UC starter Jonathan Carr carried a 4-1 lead into the 7
th inning of a scheduled nine inning game to wrap up the series. The Mountain Lions finally the offensive production they have been accustomed to all season, plating four runs in the 7
th to take a 5-4 lead.
UC couldn't solve Cody Dooley as the Mountain Lion reliever went five innings in the relief win, scattering three hits and not allowing a Golden Eagle run.

The Golden Eagles wrap up the regular season this weekend in a 4-game series with West Virginia State University. Charleston is currently in 3
rd place in the South Division heading into the weekend, carrying a 2-game lead over the 4
th place Yellow Jackets. The top-3 teams in each division advance to the Mountain East Conference tournament. Saturday's games will be played at WVSU while Charleston will play host on Sunday with first pitch of the doubleheader set for 1:00 p.m.
