BUCKHANNON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Softball team (36-20) edged past the Bloomsburg University Huskies (31-20) to advance in the NCAA Atlantic Regional.

SCORE –Charleston 5; Bloomsburg 3

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Bloomsburg got on the board first when H.Peacock hit a homerun in the bottom of the fourth inning.
-In the top of the fifth, with 2 on Monica Carter hit a homerun to center field to take the 3-1 lead.
-In the bottom of the sixth the Huskies tied the game up 3-3, but in the top of the seventh with 2 outs and 2 runners on base, Natalie Beck sent Ume and Ashlock home to take the 5-3 lead.
-The Golden Eagles held of Bloomsburg in the bottom of the seventh to survive and advance.
