CHARLESTON, WV – The University of Charleston women's soccer team (2-2-3, 2-1-3 MEC) settled for their third draw of the season against Fairmont State (2-2-2, 1-2-2 MEC) on Wednesday evening in conference play.

How it Happened
-The first half of play was scoreless for both sides, each getting six shots off.
-Coming out of the break senior midfielder, Lyndsey Thompson took a cross from Kelci Winters and scored her second goal of the season to give Charleston the 1-0 lead.
-The Golden Eagles held the lead for the next 20 minutes before Courtney Webb took a deflection and found the net to tie the game up for Fairmont State.
-After 28 total shots, and two overtime periods the match ended in a draw. This is the second time the two teams have met in the 2017 season, both meetings ending in a draw.
-Fairmont State out-shot the Golden Eagles 20-18 while UC held the 3-2 advantage in corner kicks.
