CHARLESTON, WV – Three first half goals send No. 1 Charleston (8-0, 4-0 MEC) past the Alderson Broaddus Battlers ( 3-4-2, 2-1-2 GMAC) in Saturday night action.

How it Happened
- Just 10 minutes into play Kieran Bywater played a ball to David Achaerandio who sent a driven ball past the Battlers keeper to give Charleston the quick 1-0 advantage. 
- Achaerandio gave Charleston the 2-0 lead at the 26 minute mark after playing a ball served by Armando Tikvic giving him his second goal of the contest. 
- With just over 9 minutes to go in the first half, senior forward Will Roberts traps a ball from Bywater and beats the Battler's defender to put Charleston ahead 3-0. A scorelss second half would give the Golden Eagles the victory.
