CHARLESTON, WV – The Golden Eagles women's soccer team (1-1-1, 1-0-1 MEC) gained their first MEC win against Concord University (1-2, 0-1 MEC) Friday afternoon.

How it Happened
-With just over seven minutes to go in the first half a foul occurred in the box. Charleston was awarded a penalty kick. Freshman midfielder Alana Mikulis sent it blazing past the Concord keeper to give Charleston the 1-0 lead.
 
Stat Check
-Charleston outshot Concord 4-0 in the first half, but the Mountain Lions came out swinging in the second outshooting the Golden Eagles 9-4.
