CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston continued their unbeaten start to the 2018 season, knocking off visiting North Greenville University in straight sets, 3-0, at the Wehrle Innovation Center on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened
SET 1
Tied at 5-5 in the opening set of the match, Charleston went on a 6-0 run to grab control of the set and cruise to the 25-19 victory to take a 1-0 match lead. In that run UC's Brandon Greenway had two of 10 kills while setter Anthony Rivera contributed a pair of blocks.
SET 2
Charleston jumped out to a seven-point lead at 15-8 and looked like they would roll to an easy second set win, but North Greenville battled back to make things interesting towards the end of the set by taking a 19-18 lead over the Golden Eagles. UC went to senior Ryan Santos down the stretch and he responded with three kills in Charleston's final four points to take a 25-23 set win and go ahead of the Crusaders, 2-0.
SET 3
Again, Charleston looked as if they would run away with a set, holding an 8-point lead at 17-9 but the Crusaders again fought to the end but to no avail as the Golden Eagles eventually held on for a 25-23 set win to take the match in straight sets.
