URBANA, OH --  Charleston's women's basketball (9-9, 6-7 MEC) earned a crucial win against the Urbana Blue Knights (10-7, 8-5 MEC) to earn a road victory, 60-52, Wednesday evening to push themselves up in Mountain East Conference play.

How it Happened
UC outscored the Blue Knights by five points in the first half, and by five points in the second half eventually taking home the win. Urbana only took the lead one time during the game in the second quarter, but UC quickly answered back regaining the higher score.  UC responded to turnovers scoring 17 points, while Urbana only capitalized 12 points off of UC turnovers.  Though Urbana had a 12-6 lead in second chance points, the Golden Eagles gained a 14-8 overall lead in bench points. 
 
UC's Anna Hayton led all scorers in the game with 20 points, and Octavia Loll came in third with 16 points for the Golden Eagles. Hayton also led UC in rebounds with a total of eight.
