How it Happened
Charleston took control of the game from the start, putting their first goal in the back of the net less than 13 minutes into play. UC's freshman forward Roberta Pomi slipped one in off of an Alex Speight assist, putting the Golden Eagles up 1-0
Less than five minutes later, UC was back in the offensive third with a goal from freshman Keira Hill, assisted by senior Alana Mikulis. Charleston was not done, with yet another goal before the half, this time assisted my Roberta Pomi to senior Claire Couturier. This put the Golden Eagles up 3-0 heading into the half.
The second half of play was a similar story for Charleston, possessing the ball before senior Kiara Skeete was fed a ball by junior Allison Jones for UC's fourth goal of the day. As the dynamic duo of Skeete and Jones continued to fire shots at Glenville State's goalkeeper, the pair had another goal together, when Jones passed the ball to Skeete for UC's fifth goal of the game, and Skeete's second.
The Golden Eagles continued to possess and move the ball, but could not seem to find the goal, finishing the game 5-0.
