How it Happened
The Golden Eagles defeated Shepherd University on Wednesday afternoon, after freshman standout Keira Hill put two goals in the back of the net.

The game between the two sides started off evenly, as both teams progressed forward in the first half, attempting to be the first on the board. The Golden Eagles, however, out-shot the Rams 13-0 in the first half, keeping the ball on Shepherd's defensive side. Both teams went into the half scoreless, keeping the game even at 0-0.

The second half of play was a different story for UC, as they dominated the game, ultimately getting their first goal at the 59:24 minute mark, when Roberta Pomi crossed the ball to Keira Hill for the finish. It wasn't long before Keira Hill got the second goal of the game off of an assist from senior Alana Mikulis, putting UC up 2-0.

Shepherd did not give up hope, finishing a ball to make the score 2-1. However, this goal was not enough to catch the Golden Eagles, allowing them to win the game, and secure a spot in the conference tournament.
