CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Charleston's Women's Volleyball team fell short on Friday night, falling to the Fairmont State Fighting Falcons 3-1 (25-27, 25-17, 25-17, 25-21).

How It Happened
Charleston Women's Volleyball lost on Friday night, falling to the Fighting Falcons from Fairmont State, 1-3. The Golden Eagles started off strongly in the first set, beating the Falcons 27-25, with winning points from Carly Granger kills.
The momentum for UC did not seem to continue, as the Golden Eagles dropped the next three sets to Fairmont. Although it seemed that Charleston was putting in a good fight in the second set, the Falcons began to lead after the seventh point, gaining the edge and winning the set 25-17.
The third set of play was a similar story, as UC could not get back their footing, trailing behind the Falcons for the entire set, until the final score of 25-17. The surge of the Falcons continued into the last set of play, winning the set 25-21, and the game 3-1.
