CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Men's Basketball team (4-2) downed Edinboro University (2-2) on Sunday, defeating the Fighting Scots 79-61.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Golden Eagles dominated the first half of play from the beginning, leading the Fighting Scots for a majority of the first half. Charleston's junior transfer went 4-6 from the three-point line, and gave Charleston 16 points to lead them to a 43-26 lead heading into the half. The Golden Eagles went 8-11 from the free-throw line, and had 22 rebounds, compared to Edinboro's 17.
 
Charleston continued to control the pace of the game in the second half. UC's sophomore standout Lamont McManus started the scoring for the Golden Eagles in the second half, adding to his block and steal from the first half of play. Charleston improved on their shooting percentage, going 30-55 on field goals. The Golden Eagles saw yet another impressive performance from Drew Rackley, as he gave UC 21 points, and helped lead them to a 79-61 win.
