CHARLESTON, W.VA – UC Women's Basketball suffered their second straight loss Thursday evening, falling at home to Mountain East Conference opponent, West Virginia Wesleyan College, 47-44.

How it Happened
UC couldn't keep up with the offensively driven Bobcats and trailed 27-10 after the first half. WVWC outshot the Golden Eagles in the first half by over 30% and led for 88.9% of the first 20 minutes. UC gave up nine turnovers whereas the Bobcats committed only seven.
Things started to look up in the third quarter for UC as they scored 19 points compared to just nine scored by the opposing offense, leaving WVWC only ahead by seven points leading into the last quarter of the game. Things began to heat up in the fourth quarter as UC's Brooklyn Pannell scored 10 of her 16 game points in the last quarter. Pannell took UC within reach of one point of the Bobcats, but UC could not finish the game falling 47-44.
Wesleyan's Stacy Remer and Mari Stewart led the Bobcats with 10 points each.
