Box Score BELMONT, N.C. – The Golden Eagles wrapped up their third match in three days with a five-set road win against Belmont Abbey College on Wednesday evening, claiming the fifth and decisive set 15-10.

How it Happened
UC and the Crusaders traded sets through the first four games to set up Charleston's second five-set match in their last three. In the Golden Eagles's wins in sets two and four they hit at .367 and .464 respectively, but in the first and third set UC's attack really struggled to combine for just 17 kills and commit 15 errors. Belmont Abbey was pretty consistent throughout the match, led by Liam Maxwell's game-high 28 kills for the Crusaders.
The turning point of the final set came with Charleston trailing 3-4 early in the game when freshman Stefan Krumerac stepped back to serve for the Golden Eagles. The Norway native came up with his best four serves of the evening, dishing up four consecutive aces to put UC up 7-4 and capture the momentum. Charleston continued their strong play until the last point, earning the five-set win after Brandon Greenway put away his 16
th kill on the evening on match point, UC 15-10.

- Charleston moves to 4-0 in five-set matches on the season following the win over Belmont Abbey. Adriel Roberts set a career-high with nine kills to go along with eight blocks, tying the school-record he set in yesterday's match at Limestone. Greenway's 16 kills also established a new career-high for the junior while senior Ryan Santos also set a career-high in blocks with five.
