CHARLESTON, WV – The Golden Eagles went 1-1 in the final day of their spring break tournament. In a 2:00 p.m. matchup they downed Millersville 1-0, followed by a tough first inning against Lock Haven, falling 1-5.

How it Happened
GAME 1:
In UC's 1-0 victory, Rachel Rusch singled to the short stop, allowing Danielle Norton to score on an error by the first baseman. Jessie Rowe picked up her sixth win of 2018 season, throwing a complete-game shutout of the Marauders. The senior right hander allowed only four hits while striking out three Millersville batters in her 15th career shutout.
GAME 2:
Lock Haven posted a strong first inning, with the bases loaded Bryann Hilty was walked to give LH the 1-0 lead. On the next at bat Casey Carpenter doubled to center field to bring two more runs home for Lock Haven. With two outs and 2 runners on base Amanda Loar doubled to left field sending Carptenter and Hilty home to take the 5-0 lead over Charleston.
The Golden Eagles brought their lone run home in the top of the third inning with a double by sophomore catcher, Haleigh Christopher to bring Karli Pinkerton home for UC.

Charleston will return home to open up conference play on Saturday against the Concord Mountain Lions. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
