THE GAMES
GAME 1
Brandon Harris tossed Charleston's first shutout of 2018, blanking the visiting Cardinals in a 7-0 seven-inning three-hit win. The junior notched his third win of 2018 on just 74 pitches, striking out six WJU batters without allowing a walk. Charleston did most of their damage in the first and third innings, scoring five runs before the start of the third inning. Steven Davis and Colton Bauer each finished with three RBI's and had multi-hit games.
GAME 2
Charleston's offense started strong again in game two, scoring four runs before the start of the third inning. It all went south from there as the Golden Eagles didn't have a hit over the final five innings. A six-run fourth inning from Wheeling Jesuit aided by three Golden Eagle errors and three UC walks was enough to get the Cardinals past Charleston and split Monday's doubleheader with the Golden Eagles.
