CHARLESTON, W.Va. – UC Men's Volleyball kept their postseason hopes alive with a crucial four-set win over Saint Francis University on Saturday evening in the Wehrle Innovation Center.

Saint Francis (8-19, 3-9 EIVA)

How it Happened
After dropping the first set against the visiting Red Flash, the Golden Eagles strung together three impressive game to claim a very important four-set victory to keep their EIVA Tournament aspirations alive.  Charleston earned their fourth conference win to move the Golden Eagles into fifth place with two EIVA matches remaining on the schedule, both against Sacred Heart (1-11, 5-14).  UC trails fourth place Princeton by two games and will need help from Penn State and this same Saint Francis squad if they want to make their first EIVA Tournament appearance.

UC suffered a setback in the opening frame with SFU but head coach Dr. Bren Stevens looked to libero Sean Drexl for some energy and he did just that, helping the Golden Eagles to a commanding 25-13 set two win.  The Golden Eagles kept the momentum rolling behind freshman outside hitter Max Senica's 12 kills and senior setter Anthony Rivera's career-high six kills and 32 assists. Adriel Roberts was a monster at the net, stuffing six chances by the Red Flash and keep the high energy UC used to pull out the four-set victory.
