KUTZTOWN, Pa. – The University of Charleston women's soccer team fell in their season opener Kutztown University on Thursday afternoon.

How it Happened
The game between the Golden Eagles and Golden Bears started off to an even start, ending the half 0-0, and each side with attempts at goal. Heading into the half, UC stayed strong until the 52:00 mark, when Kutztown's Emily Zwiercan slipped one past UC's Carol Burgess off a cross from KU teammate Kayla Argen. This loan goal put Kutztown up 1-0, not allowing the Golden Eagles to regain momentum, ending the game 1-0.
