CHARLESTON, WV – The Golden Eagles women's soccer team (1-1, 0-0 MEC) gained their first win of the season against Tiffin University (0-2), Monday morning.

How it Happened
Twenty-five minutes into the first half senior Claire Couturier assisted freshman Keira Hill shot, giving UC a 1-0 advantage against the dragons. Less than two minutes later, Tiffin's Abby Morillon evened up the match at 1-1, at the 27:54-minute mark. UC freshman Kassandra Demps gave Charleston the edge heading into the half, with an assist from Liberty Goater, taking the score to 2-1. The Golden Eagles kept the lead over Tiffin, adding a penalty kick goal from freshman Madison Hansen to put UC up by two goals. Tiffin's Valerie Brown answered back in the 84
th minute of play to make the score 3-2, however, Charleston remained strong, winning the match 3-2.
