CHARLESTON, W.Va. – No. 7 Charleston (7-0-1, 6-0 MEC) remain undefeated in MEC play. Charleston snuck by the Wheeling Jesuit Cardinals (4-2-2, 3-2 MEC) 3-2 on Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
Two minutes into the contest, Williams N'Dah headed the ball into the goal of a free kick from Gabriel Cabral. The Cardinals tied the game up when McKinley Fodness chipped the UC keeper.
At the 30-minute mark Freddy Tracey poked the ball in on a cross from sophomore midfielder Sam Bethell to give UC the 2-1 lead.
After the break, still holding on to their one goal advantage, Gabriel Cabral scored at the 52-minute mark, making the score 3-1. Two minutes later Martin Minuzzi brought the score to 3-2 after putting away a penalty kick with 36 minutes left to play.
The Golden Eagles clung to their lead for the remaining minutes of the game to seal their victory and remain undefeated in conference.
