CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles fell on Wednesday night, after a long battle with Concord that went into double overtime, 1-0.

How it Happened
The Golden Eagles had a heartbreaking loss on Wednesday evening, losing after sticking with the Mountain lions for 109 minutes. The first two halves of play were UC dominate, with 13 shots, compared to Concord's five. However, at the end of regulation neither team could find the back of the net, forcing the game to head into overtime.
 
The fist 10 minutes of overtime were mostly dominated by Charleston, as they got two shots off before the end of the first over time, but these shots weren't enough to gain the lead.
 
As the second overtime began, it was back and forth between the two teams until Concord's Leah foster crossed one in for teammate Pilar Elias who slipped one in the net, giving CU the win on the day.
