CHARLESTON, WV – The Golden Eagles women's soccer team (4-6, 3-2 MEC) added another win to their record in MEC play, after defeating West Liberty University (2-5-2, 2-2-1 MEC) 3-0 on Sunday afternoon.

How it Happened
The matchup between the Golden Eagles and the Hilltoppers started off evenly, with opportunities to put one in the back of the net from both sides. After 45 minutes of play, the score remained 0-0, with two shots from freshman Alex Speight before the end of the half.
Charleston came into the second half of play with a spark, with a header goal from freshman Roberta Pomi, assisted by freshman Keira Hill to begin UC's scoring frenzy. Less than six minutes later, Keira Hill was back in the action scoring another goal for UC off of an assist from senior Alana Mikulis, giving the Golden Eagles a two-goal edge. Keira Hill wasn't done yet, getting her second goal of the game, and UC's third, off of an assist from sophomore Lexi Scales.
Hill's last goal sealed the deal for Charleston, leading them to a 3-0 win over the Hilltoppers from West Liberty.
