CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The Golden Eagles (4-1, 4-1 MEC) unbeaten streak ended with a 20-14 loss to the Urbana Blue Knights (4-1, 4-1 MEC). Despite holding Urbana to 106 yards of total offense the Blue Knights pulled together a drive with 3:54 to play to take the victory.

How it Happened
After a brief power outage to start the game, both teams found themselves in a scoreless shootout to start the second half. The UC defense held the Blue Knights to just 18 yards rushing in the first half. John Cominsky and CJ Bagwell led the Golden Eagles.
With 9:44 left to play in the third quarter the Golden Eagles fumbled the ball and it was recovered by Urbana's David Hickey recovered it in the end zone for the first Urbana touchdown. Six another fumble recovery put the Blue Knights in scoring position, followed by a four-yard pass by Zairn Davis to Shemar Hooks to put Urbana up 14-0.
Three minutes into the fourth quarter, Senior quarterback Damion May ran the ball six yards to cut the Blue Knight lead in half bringing the score to 14-7. At the 5:41 mark, May kept the ball again for his second touchdown, tying the game up for the Golden Eagles. Unfortunately, on the next drive with 3:54 to play, Davis hit Hooks on a 51 yard pass to score for the Blue Knights. The PAT was no good, giving UC some life in the waning minutes of regulation, but Charleston could not find the end zone, giving the victory to Urbana.

Senior defensive tackle, John Cominsky led the Golden Eagles with 12 tackles, 4 TFLs, one sack, one forced fumble, one pass breakup, and one blocked field goal.
Urbana Leaders
Isaiah Young led the Blue Knights with 39 yards rushing.
