How it Happened
UC initially had a tough time sorting out the Bobcat zone as the Golden Eagles were plagued by early turnovers through the first 10 minutes and held a narrow two-point, 11-9, edge after the first quarter of play.  Charleston defensive effort was dominant in the second frame, allowing just two points to the visiting Bobcats and ended the quarter on a 14-0 run leading to a 25-11 advantage at the break.  UC got strong bench production from Mackenzie Loos in her six minutes of play, turning it into six points on a pair of triples.

Brooklyn Pannell stretched the Golden Eagle lead over the third quarter as the sophomore connected on three attempts from beyond the arc with UC taking a commanding 50-21 lead heading to the final frame. Pannell scored 11 of her team-high 24 points. Charleston continued to pile it on in the final quarter and cruised to 43-point victory over the visiting Bobcats, 79-36.

The Golden Eagles limited Wesleyan to just 27% shooting from the floor while forcing 25 turnovers for the contest.
