ATHENS, W. Va. – The Golden Eagles improve to 7-2 on the season and sit with a 7-0 record in MEC play after a 4-1 win in Wheeling on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
It took only 14 minutes for the Golden Eagles to find the back of the net on a goal from
Ploutarchos Alonefti. The Golden Eagles offense kept pressing, as the scored a second goal in the first half from
Jesus Cabanas.
Coming out of the break it was a mere four minutes before Charleston put goal number three on the board, from center back,
Jordi Ramon. Charleston saw three more goals from
Joao Lima ,
Gabriel Rodriguez, and
Adam Burchelll to close out the 6-0 victory in Mountain East Conference play.
The Mountain got three shots off in the contest as senior midfielder
Maxime Ramioulle just missed an opportunity to score in the 42
nd minute as his shot was turned aside by Charleston goalkeeper Alvaro Dean.

Bruno Baptista and
Beau Simpson each had shots for the Mountain Lions in the contest. Junior goalkeeper
Kyle Brown tied his season high with nine saves in the loss.

The Golden Eagles will head to the hill to take on the West Liberty Hilltoppers on Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
