WEST LIBERTY, W. Va. – The University of Charleston Golden Eagles (9-2-0, 9-0-0 MEC) are bringing home win number nine of the season after blanking the West Liberty Hilltoppers on Sunday afternoon. The Hilltoppers (1-9-1, 1-8-1 MEC) subsequently took loss number nine of the season after the contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The surging Golden Eagles offense out-shot their opponents 25-0, putting 16 shots on target in the victory. West Liberty goalkeeper Noah Underwood notched nine saves in the loss.
The Golden Eagles fired off 15 shots in the first half, with three finding the back of the net for the 3-0 advantage heading into the break. Four West Liberty saves kept UC off the board heading into halftime. Charleston was led on the offensive front by
Jordi Ramon who tallied five shots for the Golden Eagles, scoring at the 56:38 mark. Sophomore midfielder,
Christopher Allan tallied four shots, all on frame.
Eduardo Iranzo,
Sam Bethell, and
Williams N'Dah all tallied goals in the match.
The Golden Eagles showed their depth with three players coming off the bench, scoring goals in the contest.
Ettore Ballestracci,
Gabriel Rodriguez, and
Joao Lima all found the net for Charleston.

The Golden Eagles will return to the Welch Athletic Complex on Thursday, October 17 to take on the Wheeling University Cardinals. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.
