CHARLOTTER, NC. – The Golden Eagles had a very impressive race day, finishing fourth out of 57 teams in the Royals Cross Country Challenge at Queens University. There were 519 athletes that competed in the race, and UC had 4 athletes finish in the top 50
 
UC's Jack Mastandrea set another school record for the 8k with a time of 23:41.1, this allowed him to finish 2^nd overall. Joshua Chepkesir from UNC Pembroke has been the man to beat this year, and he was ahead of Jack by only 21 seconds.
 
Teammate Kyle Hinson is usally right up there with Mastandrea, finished 17^th with a time of 24:34.1. Alex Kitony also had a great run finished only 5 seconds behind Hinson, finishing 21^st overall.
 
Stephen Korir was the next Golden Eagle to cross the finish line with a time of 25:08.2 and placed 44^th
 
Up next UC will travel to Concord University on October 18^th
