Golden Eagles Battle with Falcons Ends in 1-1 Draw

SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – After a pair of overtime periods the Golden Eagles left South Euclid, Ohio with their first draw of the 2019 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Falcons took the lead after Niklas Bohlin converted a penalty kick in the 26th minute. Just over three minutes later, it was Plutarchos Alonefti who finished a ball played by Ettore Ballestracci to tie the game at 1-1.
 
The teams battled for just under 80 minutes as neither team found the back of the net, and after 110 minutes of play, the contest ended with the 1-1 draw.
 
The Golden Eagles outshot their opponents 13-7, and held the 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

The Golden Eagles will host the Urbana Blue Knights on Wednesday, October 24 at 4:00 p.m.
