HOW IT HAPPENED
Urbana was the team that struck first in the first half with a goal to put them ahead of UC 1-0. UC was quick to answer though, as they came back with a goal of their own from Jesus Cabanas on the assist from Ettore Ballestracci to tie the game at 1-1 early in the first half.
The Golden Eagles were able to stay on the attack as they earned themselves a corner kick that ultimately resulted in a goal from Jordi Ramon on the assist from Sam Bethell to put UC up 2-1. With a good battle looming, UC was hoping for a late goal to widen their lead. Charleston's hard work paid off with less than one-minute remaining in the half as Jordi Ramon scored his second goal of the game to put the Golden Eagles up 3-1 over the Blue Knights heading into the half.
Charleston came out with a lot of energy in the second half as they were able to score another goal in the first few minutes of the second half. That goal was scored by Eduardo Iranzo with an assist by Ettore Ballestracci to make the score 4-1 Charleston. That is where the score would remain for the rest of the match.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
With two goals in the game, Jordi Ramon recorded his first multi-goal game of his career. This win also marked the 50th career win for Dan Stratford as the head coach for the Golden Eagles.
