CHARLESTON, W Va. – The Golden Eagles hosted the Bobcats from West Virginia Wesleyan College this afternoon on UC's senior day, Charleston came out on top as they took the win 3-0 over the Bobcats.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Charleston came out in the first set ready to play. They were fired up as their seniors began their final home match of their careers. The Golden Eagles had 10 kills with a .280 hitting percentage while only allowing three attacking errors. The Bobcats had eight kills with a - .034 hitting percentage and had nine attacking errors. Charleston went on to take the set by a score of 25-15
Charleston carried over their momentum from the first set as they added 14 kills to their day and posted a .385 hitting percentage. Wesleyan had nine kills with a .115 hitting percentage and had six attacking errors to boot. UC took the set by a score of 25-20.
Charleston closed the door on the match in the third set as they had nine more kills with a .269 hitting percentage. The Bobcats had eight kills with ten attacking errors that allowed the Golden Eagles to continue on and take the set 25-15.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
Sophomore Rachel Phalen was able to rack up 14 kills, senior Sydney Burt had nine kills, senior Janeese VerVelde had four blocks and sophomore Erin Thomas had 22 assists.
