BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. -- Notre Dame's Jaleel McLaughlin, Nick Beans, Bryce Sheppert and head coach Mike Jacobs, along with Glenville State's Dominic Cizuaskas, have earned top individual honors from the Mountain East Conference as the league announced its annual awards and all-conference teams.
The Golden Eagles saw five First team honorees, and Four to second team All-MEC selections. First teamers include: Junior running back Tyreik McAllister, junior wide receiver, Mike Strachan, and senior, Austin Ringel representing the offensive line. On the defensive side of the ball, Junior nose guard Kenny Randall, and Kei Beckham were also named First Team All-MEC.
Senior quarterback, Brant Grisel earned second team All-MEC after leading the Mountain East in multiple categories offensively including passing yards and passing touchdowns. Grisel also found himself ranked in the top-10 nationally in passing yards, and tied for 11
th in passing touchdowns, to lead all MEC quarterbacks. Joining Grisel on second team, is senior wide receiver, Tremaine Ross, and Elbert Munn from the offensive line. Defensively, Kenjae Rose represented the linebackers room for the Golden Eagles.
